About Flixu Tales
Flixu Tales started with a simple frustration. There are millions of things to read online, and almost none of them make you feel anything.
We wanted to build the opposite of that. A place where you open a page, read for ten minutes, and walk away carrying something — a lump in your throat, a memory you had buried, a question about your own family. Stories used to do that. We think they still can.
What we publish
Every story on this site falls into one of six categories. Short Stories are our quick reads, the ones you finish before your tea gets cold. Romance covers everything from first love to the marriages that quietly fall apart. Family Drama is where most of our readers spend their time — stories about mothers, in-laws, inheritance, and the things families do to each other when nobody is watching. Suspense and Mystery is for readers who like being kept in the dark until the last paragraph. Real Life Stories are inspired by the kind of events that actually happen to ordinary people. And Moral Stories are our shorter pieces, written with a lesson at the centre.
Most of what we publish is fiction. Some pieces are inspired by real situations, but the characters, names, places and conversations are invented by our writers. We label this clearly on every story so you always know what you are reading.
Who writes here
Flixu Tales is a small independent publication. Our stories are written and edited by human writers, not generated and dumped online. Every piece is read at least twice before it goes live — once for the story, once for the language. We are not a large media house and we do not pretend to be one.
The site is owned and published by Rashid Awan, based in Pakistan. It operates as a subdomain of bollyflixu.com.
What we do not do
We do not host, link to or share pirated films, TV shows, music or software. We do not publish medical, legal or financial advice. We do not run stories that target real individuals, and we do not publish content designed to shock rather than move. If a story cannot survive being read out loud to a family member, it does not go on this site.
Why the stories are free
Because reading should not require a subscription. The site is supported by advertising, which lets us keep every story open to everyone, in every country, with no account and no paywall. Advertising is clearly separated from our editorial content and no advertiser has any say in what we publish.
Talk to us
If a story stayed with you, or if one missed the mark, we want to hear it. Reader feedback has changed the way we write more than once. You can reach us any time through our Contact Us page or by writing to contact@bollyflixu.com.
Thank you for reading. That is the whole thing, really — someone writes, someone reads, and for a few minutes both of them are somewhere else.
